Liisa Pesonen

Liisa Pesonen is a Finnish costume designer and full-time costume design lecturer in the Department of Film at Aalto University, School of Arts, Design and Architecture, where she completed her Master of Arts in Fashion in 2013. Her professional practice spans film, theatre and dance productions, with her recent scholarship and practice centring on eco-scenographic approaches to costume design, examining material lifecycles and sustainable methodologies. 

While maintaining an active freelance practice across the performing arts and cinema industries, she has authored articles and presented her work in exhibitions that connect her artistic and academic research.
