Johanna Oksanen

Johanna Oksanen, PhD, currently works at the University of Lapland as a University Lecturer in Fashion and Clothing Design. As a costume designer, mask maker, and researcher, she integrates artistic and scholarly approaches, for example by examining the meanings and processes of meaning-making in art and design.

In addition she has also explored the phenomenon of shared authorship through collaborative methods in diverse contexts. In her teaching, she emphasizes the development of ethical and sustainable practices in fashion and the promotion of equity and diversity.
