Costume and Research in Finland 2026

Participants in Zuzu Hudek’s workshop exploring costume as a central dramaturgical and choreographic element

Following a series of successful events since 2014, Costume and Research in Finland is organized this year for the ninth time by the Costume in Focus (CiF) research group at Aalto University. CiF gathers doctoral and post-doctoral researchers working in the field of costume research with Professor Sofia Pantouvaki.

Costume in Focus promotes costume design as a scholarly research field, while also connecting the costume community members nationally and internationally. The aim of the Costume and Research in Finland seminar is to offer a forum for dialogue and exchange of ideas in the field.
